My taste buds can still taste all that great food!!! My first time in San Antonio visiting my sister and her family and she brought me to the Pearl and we dined here at Allora and it’s OMG AMAZING!!! I am from NJ and have been to many restaurants, and even in NYC and nothing has compared to this!! Every bite was bursting with Flavor that I can still taste today. Chef Robbie is a culinary artist and I’m so excited I had the pleasure to have had his food!! Not only is the food and drinks great, but I want to add how Awesome the staff and service is…first class all the way!!! They pay you all the attention you need and make sure your visit is the best! When I return to I plan to go back!!!

The food was delicious, and this is the best fettuccine pasta I've ever tried. Portions are a good size, and sharing an appetizer is always a good idea. We got an appetizer and a plate each as well as one side, and we had plenty of food and no room for dessert, which means plates are very well served. Definitely recommend a place to come and relax.

I enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was phenomenal! The sardine toast was my favorite. Went surprisingly well with the pesto. I love a good tartar. Truffle pasta was a special for the evening.

Quite an excellent place near the booming Pearl district. Lovely inside but the outside seating as the sun goes down is where it’s at (beware of the cushions that sink in and put you too low!). Excellent service and quite good food makes it easy to while away an evening. Octopus while good was slightly chewy, but perfect with crispy potatoes and the fermented pepper paste (reminds me of the bomba paste one can buy in Italy), pastas were all excellent though a bit heavily sauced for our liking (a bit of a surprise really) and a tad too soft for my liking (spouse was just fine with it; I also understand that they made the pasta fresh there, which is harder to cook with a “chew”), quail was perfectly cooked with the classy touch of a deboned breast, sides were excellent with the spinach being particularly good with preserved lemons and just barely sautéed to maintain the vegetal greenness. All in all while spendy, definitely worth a trip or two or three!!

If the purpose of the cuisine at Allora is to be reminiscent of the Mediterranean, they have succeeded! The food is flavorful without being “heavy” and you can tell the pasta is made in-house/fresh. The octopus and potato app was perfectly grilled and tender (not over-cooked and chewy) and the potatoes were crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The prosciutto app was a disappointment. It was served on large slices of bread and the portion of actual prosciutto was tiny. The pasta was served hot and al dente. The sauce was rich and creamy. The pork was a little on the overly fat side, but was cooked well. The lemon curd dessert was really good. It wasn’t overly sweet and was a great ending to our meal. My only “complaint” was with the service. Our waitress only came to the table to drop off food and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. It’s a small, kind of funny shaped restaurant, but I look forward to more meals on the patio in the spring and fall.

I went to the Allora at the Pearl to celebrate a promotion with my great friend, and her daughter. The food was absolutely amazing! Every bite was incredible! Chef Robbie Nowlin came over to assure that we were happy with our food and service, and we were more than happy! I would definitely recommend the Allora for an amazing food, ambiance, and service!! We will definitely return! We sat on the patio, had perfect weather!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had the chicken liver mousse, grilled octopus, and “Allora” bruschetta with goat cheese and beets (photo) to start, then mussels- all shared among three people with everyone leaving satisfied. The wine was excellent, the food was excellent. I was surprised at how big the restaurant was and how high quality the food and service were. It was like a small restaurant fine dining experience in a massive space! Good job Allora! The quality was exceptional! ??????
