Bar Rojo also has a very nice breakfast offering. During my stay at the Grand Hyatt, I dined one morning at the Breakfast @ Rojo. I ordered an absolutely fabulous “Taste of Spain“ plate. It included jamon Serano (flavorful Spanish ham), smoked salmon, Spanish tortilla (a stacked potato dish), roasted tomato Spanish cheeses, olives, grilled bread, egg, and greens that were dressed. It was such a large plate, it could easily serve two— especially for breakfast. I asked for a box to take home about half of that breakfast. I was so surprised at the freshness and variety served for breakfast. I highly recommend the Taste of Spain dish!

Fun spot to stop for a drink if staying in the Grand Hyatt. Loved the margaritas. The bar was busy, not crowded, during my visits and the wait staff wasn't as quick as it could have been, but were friendly once they attended to us. Tried the Alamo Golden Ale for the first time and loved it. Very festively decorated outside for Fiesta.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch and breakfast here. As well as great Spicy Margaritas. Staff was awesome and the establishment made it welcoming. Great place to dine and have drinks.

Good breakfast food and friendly staff. The omelets during their breakfast time are the best option. A little above average in price but they are close to the Marriott and grand Hyatt so it's an easy option.

Underwhelming is a good summary of my experience with bar Rojo. From the first encounter that we had to wait for ten minutes standing in line (11:20am to 11:30 when they let us in) although the restaurant was completely empty and we could've all been seated and offered water! To the smoked brisket sandwich which was cold and devoid of any taste or texture to the ginger ale which tasted like not well shaken medication. The service staff were friendly enough but the manager seemed confused. Maybe it's not always like that but of it is then I recommend walking five minutes to a place that actually cares. The picture is taken after they took in a bunch of us. Still there is a ton of space available but the militaristic approach doesn't allow people to be seated.

The Brisket tacos were amazing! I highly recommend the Raspberry Lemon Drop cocktail too. My server was Logan and he was the best, in point recommendations, fast friendly service and he got me a to go container of the delicious bread and butter pickles!! ?

Contrary to other reviews, we actually had an attentive and friendly server. That said, THIS is their “brisket queso”. Literally, one tiny morsel of brisket in it. And not a generous serving of queso at all. We got guacamole, too, which I didn’t get a picture. Extremely over priced. Two ranch waters and this queso was $62 BEFORE tip, because we moved over to sit with four other friends and got a 20% large party service fee that was not intended to be a tip. Won’t go here again when in town. Not at ALL worth it.

We came to order some takeout to eat in our room. Extremely unorganized they take our orders come back 5 minutes later to tell us that some of items aren’t available after 11pm. We modify the order and 50 minutes later it arrives. When we get to the room and open the containers the food is cold and I mean cold. My first time in San Antonio and for what we are paying for the room and food I am leaving very disappointed and dissatisfied. Avoid this restaurant order some pizza instead.
