Not sure how I feel about this restaurant. The vibe here reminds me of 70s punk rock. I thought the menu was very small but everything was executed nicely. We started with the pork lettuce wraps and cheese curds. Both were good. My mother in law ordered the rigatoni pasta and carrot salad which she said was delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her fried chicken which was perfectly cooked and came with 2 scratch made biscuits. My hanger steak was cooked at the desired temperature and very tasty. Food was good, staff is friendly but nothing stood out to make me want to go back.

My first time at Bud and Marilyn’s and I loved it. I definitely think this place is worth the hype. Service was quick and friendly, despite the place being packed. Our food and drinks came out surprisingly quick for how busy the restaurant was. Definitely a well oiled machine here. The ambience is cozy, and we loved the little corner alcove we were seated in by the window! Will definitely come back another time to try more menu items. The hot chicken bun was super spicy though - be warned!

Grabbed a quick late night reservation after realizing the place we intended to eat was no longer serving food at 9:30pm. Service was good, the decor is cute. I had a chicken sausage pasta that the server highly recommended. It was good but I wasn’t super impressed. The Nashville chicken sliders were amazing though!! So many textures and flavors! The chicken was crispy, the brioche perfectly toasted, the slaw pickled to perfection.

Dark but cozy atmosphere. Very nice place to bring a date. The sirloin steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful and sliced for you. The Marilyn fried chicken was also very good. Cocktail drinks were spot on. The staff was very friendly. We had a great dinner experience on a rainy Friday night.

It was pretty crowded when we went and the service was slow. Our plates came out very sporadically and the water refills were space. The compound butter on the French toast was cold and made the French toast soggy, but the toast itself had good flavor. The biscuits and gravy also tasted pretty good. The accompanying potatoes didn't have enough flavor and didn't have the right texture for me. Cinnamon roll was good (I'd give it a 4 out of 5) and all the drinks were good. Cheese curds were a great appetizer and had nice sauce on the side. Overall, I wish I could give them a 3.5 star rating.

First time here. Sat down quickly at the bar on a Sunday for brunch. Our waitress, Flanders, was very warm, friendly, and welcoming. Ordered the Shrimp Benedict, which honestl, was amazing. Home fries were extraordinary crispy which I loved. Flavor was great, shrink grilled perfect. Highly recommend. Great experience.

I usually love dining here but this weekend was a bit disappointing. The restaurant was warm and I couldn’t drink my hot coffee. Keep in mind, I was sitting in the center of the restaurant, not that close to the kitchen. The cinnamon roll did not taste fresh and was hard on the outer layer. The chicken sandwich was good but the fries were not crispy. Some of them were floppy and filled with grease. Seemed like they sat for a while. The chicken and waffles were good. The shrimp in the shrimp Benedict were perfectly cooked but the sautéed greens were too salty. Shakshuka was okay. The waitress was slow not very attentive. We had to ask for water refills multiple times. Also, one of the servers tried to take a plate that still had food on it. I’ll probably still come back because I know the potential but I was very disappointed by this last experience.

If you’re looking for a brunch place in Philly, this is the place to go. I highly recommend their shakshouka and their fried cheese curds. The food is flavorful and is filling. Their service is also great. Their outdoor seating also has heating, which makes it nice when it is chilly outside.
