The food was good. The garlic bread with cheese was delicious. I definitely recommend the cheese cake. I would go back just for that. Definitely make a reservation, the restaurant was packed. The service at the bar while we waited to be seated was very nice. Our service at the table was not so great. We hardly saw our waiter and multiple times we had to ask passing servers to refill empty drinks. Overall we had a nice evening with family.

Before you know anything, you should know two things: 1.) you will wait quite a while 2.) the portions are gigantic family style bowls, so you and your people need to be on the same page. That being said, the lasagna was amazing. I don’t even like lasagna and I ate more of this than my usual choice of pasta (penne). If you have the time to wait an hour, I would say it’s worth it for good, affordable food. The dishes are about $35 each, which is insanely cheap to share with family. We had 4 of us and only should’ve ordered 1 lasagna. Bonus points for having delicious bread!

Listen, this place was absolutely astonishing. My wife and I had spaghetti and penne with the house bread and let me tell you I cannot possible have a better Italian meal anywhere else. The meatballs were like butter to cut, and yet mouth watering when you take a bite. The sauce was amazing. You can tell it was cooked for hours and hours. The garlic clove itself tasted like the sauce because of how long it cooked! Service was amazing and each area was so intimate, it was nice to watch every family have such a good time while dining. The ratings here don’t lie, this is definitely the #1 spot in NYC to visit and take your family and friends.

The food was absolutely fantastic!!! My fiance and I had the shrimp fettuccine with red sauce and the chicken contadina. Our food came out promptly and everything was freshly prepared and seasoned to perfection with generous portion sizes. We also had an amazing waiter (Andre) who was very hospitable and knowledgeable in terms of the menu. He really made my birthday dinner absolutely remarkable!! Additionally, this restaurant is located just steps away from numerous Broadway theaters. Overall, I had an exceptional dining experience, and I plan to visit again...and again!

Came here for lunch with my fellow coworkers and boss. We had a set course, so this review is only based on the set menu and not on any of the other food. Overall, the food were decent. It may be difficult to see from the pictures, but be warn that the portion size are quite large. The meatballs, from the spaghetti and meatball, were very soft. It was good, but something felt off to me about it. The chicken parmesan was also very soft, which I was fine with. The shrimp pasta and calamari were delicious, but watch out for the high oil content. My advice is to also cut back on the bread. The breads were tasty, but they will fill you up before you even start your appetizers or main courses.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it has never disappointed. The meals are family style so don’t expect to eat an entire meal yourself. One meal is probably enough for 4-5 people. The chicken with lemon butter is my favorite meal that I’ve had there. And to drink try the Italian soda. I really like the “Frankie Blue Eyes”.

My time night in New York. The sights the smells and the culture. I was hyper stimulated by Times Square, the abundance of people, and the sightseeing and grew famished as the day dragged on. Our first night destination for dinner was Carmines. I had been pointed in the right direction by some friends who had visited before. They said the portions were served family style and never disappointed. I can say they were correct. We ordered calamari salad and a few other plates and ended up with too much food to even consider leftovers. These family style meals could feed multiple families with ease. I felt like a made guy sitting and eating in this great atmosphere. Very Tony Soprano. Our servers were delightful and the food came out promptly. The drinks were fantastic. I consider this a must try for anyone visiting the Empire State.

Two of us had $90 market priced lobster with angel hair pasta and $45 meat ball pane. The pasta was so dry and cold, and the seafood sauce had lots of soils from the clams or something. It might have been better if you had a group of many people because the size of the dish was too gigantic. We couldn't finish the quarter of what we ordered. The staff was kind and cheerful. However, I didn't like their food at all.
