The line was out the door when I went but the staff did a great job because I didn't have to wait long to order my food. The Hot Chicken is pretty good but it's not as flavorful as I hoped it be. The sauce is okay but my Texas taste buds were not impressed as some others might be from this California food chain. I really like the artwork on the walls.

Since this place is still very new and it's the only location currently in San Antonio so I stood in line outside and inside for a combined time of twenty mins before getting to order. But once we sat down the food came out quickly. Wow the wait was completely worthwhile. You get a lot of food for the price point and the quality is awesome. Each individual chicken strip is huge - I got the two tenders with fries and could only eat one and half tenders so I took the other half home to eat later. Being able to specify the heat level is SO cool. I got Lite Mild but it was still a tad too hot for me so I'll be getting No Spice next time. My husband got Medium level spice and said it was perfect. The dipping sauce is the best dipping sauce I've ever had! (I love you Raising Canes but I found a new favorite dipping sauce and honestly this place was so much cheaper than Canes.) My husband didn't really like the dipping sauce but I thought both the chicken and the fries were so good with and without the sauce. The only thing I didn't like was that there weren't drinks included with the combo/meal and the cashier didn't ask if we wanted drinks. The vibes were chill and the music wasn't too loud. All the employees were friendly and seemed happy to see each customer. I will definitely return but I'll wait a few months so hopefully the hype dies down a little and it's not a twenty minute wait to order. But this is an excellent addition to San Antonio's fast food chicken scene.

Came opening day and it was great! It was packed but the line moved fast and we got in no problem. The combos come with two full sized sandwiches so it’s plenty of food. All the sauces are great too. Husband and I waited an hour in line and he said it was 100% worth it. The hot spice wasn’t too hot or too mild it was just the right level. One of the owners even came out and was talking to people in line and he was very friendly. All the cashiers were quick and efficient in getting orders out. It was a great opening day experience in my opinion!

It all started with $900 and an Air Fryer! This is a quote on the wall in the restaurant but it sure pleases me to know that it created this wonderful tasteful chicken!! They sell tenders and sliders. I would definitely try the sliders. The bun is soft and warm, add that with the coleslaw and some sauce and some cheese and when you taste it in your mouth depending on what heat rating you got is incredible. If you like a little kick I would definitely recommend going above mild or medium. I went with hot ? but it was well worth it. The tenders are seasoned with a dry rub mostly so it’s not like “wet” style. I believe the use the same type of seasoning on the chicken to garnish their fries which are also very tasteful. Dip them in their Dave’s Sauce and boom ? mouth orgasm. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Mac n Cheese so save your money and don’t get it. It’s not thick and creamy. More on the runny side but it’s still ok, but not great. Overall great food! Would definitely go back after I lose all the calories I just earned eating one meal there.

I have no complaints. The chicken is good but don't let the menu fool you. They call their sandwiches sliders, but one will fill you up. Needless to say I left extra stuffed and had to take my kale-slaw home; also good! The fries are seasoned just right. It took us about 20 minutes to get our order in because of the line. The staff, superb! Probably trained at the same location they train Chick Fil A employees! I recommend at least trying this place once!

We tried Dave’s on grand opening and were definitely impressed! I tried the hottest flavor “reaper”, and it’s exactly what you can imagine. Tolerable but HOT! Mac and cheese was also really good. Recommend!

I’ll jump right into the experience signs not saying enter or exit make it difficult for newbies trying not to get in the way. Also, our order was wrong even after giving them our receipt with the number on it. Now the food, The fries had a seasoning on them but it didn’t make up for the fact that there’s no flavor. The only thing that saved them was their mayo sauce. The chicken was mediocre at best, it was cooked but almost to the point of being dried out. I got Hot seasoning that they dipped the chicken in and let me tell you that Hot was HOT! Even on a buttered bun it was almost uncomfortable to not wanting to finish it. I added some honey for a sweeter flavor and that got me by. Overall having hot chicken for my first time was okay, but I’ll try other places in the city and save this as a last resort.

After weeks of waiting I finally tried it. It’s not bad. I’m not a fan of the texture of dry spice on the chicken. It was too dusty/grainy for my liking. The fries were really good and well seasoned. Oh and that sauce chefs kiss*. I do recommend for people to give it a try. My opinion is not yours.
