Great experience! A chic environment with an old world feel. Clean tables and server ware + attentive staff! Ordered the start stuffed zucchini and baked clams- both were tasty, clams were my favorite. Lobster in spicey red sauce was tangy with a bite- so good! The salmon was seared to perfection, accompanied with perfectly seasoned potatoes. Must try spot around river north for a date night!

Iconic. Building from 1874. Atmosphere nostalgic Chicago Steak House. The best hands down shrimp cocktail anywhere. It is just as magnificent now as it was 35 years ago when I first tried it. The garbage salad defies explanation. The steaks are magnificent and anything you order will exceed your expectations. Service always 5 stars. Melanie was our server today and was phenomenal. When we asked how long she worked there, she shyly admitted today was her first night on the floor. Her perfection led us to believe she had been a tenured associate. Remarkable. New key lime is not to be missed.

This is the most iconic Italian restaurant in Chicago. Today was my first time trying Gene & Georgetti. The atmosphere is cozy and gives you that authentic old school feel. The espresso martini I had was top 5 in the city, and the appetizers were incredible. Highly recommend their Italian sausage and peppers. I also had their chicken parmigiana which comes with pasta. I really enjoyed the crispy coating and the dish was really filling. For dessert, their tiramisu was moist and good, solid spot for family and date nights

Wow!! My husband went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and this place hit all the right marks. ✅️ ?? Delicious food, awesome service and the romantic, and elegant but comfortable atmosphere was everything you could hope for. Takes you back in time to old Chicago. Old school Italian food done correctly and the portions are worth it! Would highly recommend.

Came to Chicago to visit my son for Thanksgiving since he didn't want to come home. Told him to fine a nice Italian restaurant to eat at. He did a good job. I have eaten at several Italian places in the past in Chicago and this was one of the best. Atmosphere and service was excellent. I will come back.

An old school steakhouse with parking right across the street. The ambience is like stepping back inside with the glass bottles of water and attire of all the staff. A quiet but lively spot to eat. There’s something for everyone on the menu. If you don’t order course by course then you aren’t ordering right. The tiramisu is an absolute must have.

We absolutely love Gene and Georgetti. We came here after getting stood up by our other reservation. The host treated us with so much respect. Told us he'd do his best, and he did. He sat us at the next table that opened up, immediately. The steaks were buttery and delicious. Cooked perfectly and super fast. The service was exceptional. Funny, charming, and kind staff.

Old school Italian steakhouse with many other Italian dishes. The house chicken with sausage was delicious. The Piedmont steak was just Ok. Ordered medium rare. Came out medium well. The waiter took care of it right away. I might just like a steak with more fat in it. Staff was very attentive.
