Great lunch with friends! We stumbled over this place and I am glad we did. Food was delicious, exactly what we were craving. Highly recommend Guacamole & Tostones. And the sauce they put on the table is to die for!! We even asked for refill. So good ??

I’d give this a 3.5 if Google let me because the food wasn’t amazing but am rounding up because my overall experience was very pleasant. Service was awesome and the outdoor seating was great, 5/5 for both these. They’ve got one of those outdoor booth things. I’ve never tried a kausa before and it was okay! I didn’t love it subjectively, but I think it objectively was good quality and very artfully presented. 5/5 for presentation for sure. Overall 4/5 because I just didn’t love it. The chicken was way too salty and that’s the main reason I’d give it a 3.5/5 overall rating — the chicken at a Peruvian chicken place should be stellar and it wasn’t. The ceviche was also just okay because it was too salty. Presentation was 5/5 though.

This place has wonderful food! Honestly oysters were really good quality and a dozen is only 14$. Also Kausa itself is a really tasty dish which is basically layers of mashed potatoes and fish with ceviche on top. Also all the sauces they brought were delicious! Great mix of good prices and good quality! Definitely will be back

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant. The service was super friendly and fast. They always made sure we had plenty of water, which was great. Our meals were also delicious / flavourful with large portions. My husband is Peruvian, and the flavour reminded him of home (which doesn’t always happen!).

Food was amazing! Definitely coming back next visit to NYC. Best service we have had during our visit as well. Lovely restaurant and atmosphere, would give 10 stars if I could.

Might be my new favorite Peruvian place in manhattan. Great big portions and the food was fantastic. They had chica morada but didn’t see green spaghetti on the menu. The dishes are priced higher than they might be outside of nyc but it’s well worth it especially with how large the servings were and we took half to go! Very much recommend if you’re hungry and want authentic Peruvian.

Overall good/ok experience. Good food selection (but that is every time I go to a Peruvian restaurant); I ordered the ceviche and the plantains. They were both good. Service was friendly but kind of slow and confusing.

I have only tried Peruvian food once, so we decided to have dinner st Kausa on Tuesday night. We had ceviche, octopus, Peruvian soup, and alfajores. Ceviche was fresh, sour, and spicy, which was everything we wanted. Octopus was tender, and I loved the portion size. The soup was tomatoy with lots of different spices and packed with lots of different seafood. They don't hold back on the amount of seafood! Alfajores was delicious and a nice finish to the meal.
