As a non-vegan, I always chose Kindred as the best place for vegan food. They have a fantastic cocktail list. I always go for their tiki style drinks and they usually have a fun mug for sale as well. My favorite food item is the fried pickles with pickled buffalo cauliflower, delicious. I also tried an impossible burger for the first time, pretty good. Id definitely say check Kindred out for a fun atmosphere and amazing drinks. If you're looking for vegan food too then this is your place.

One of my favorite all around vegan restaurants in San Diego. Fantastic for a date night as they have excellent cocktails, and even better food. It's all vegan and if you're a fan of seitan, their skewers are insanely good. Wonderful texture and flavor. ??

Wow! What a surprise Kindred was for us non-vegan eaters. Now I know how y’all feel every time you go most places to eat! ✊? We went early Sunday for our vegan friends birthday and had great service from the bar and table server. I had the pancakes and they were amazing. We tried all sorts of things we would normally maybe not try, like; tofu Benedict! (Though I may ask for the ‘hollandaise’ on the side if you don’t like mustard) Cocktails are on point as any CH location tend to be. We tried the River Styx and it was fire! Go for brunch Sundays 10-2 or cocktails but prepare to wait as the location isn’t huge and is very popular. Worth it! -A Carnivorous dairy eater.

One of the best vegan bars that I've ever been to in the country. So if you are not vegan you can still enjoy the bar because it's super clean open and inviting. If you are vegan then this is the place to be to participate in what probably is equivalent of being at some other high-end bar where you won't be able to get any vegan food. Here you'll be able to enjoy a myriad of good vegan foods. Lot of them might be fried and not the healthiest but you can still get salads and vegetable type plates. If I lived in San Diego I would be hitting this place up on the weekends and if I was single I'd be taking dates here all the time. Since I'm married of course I would take my wonderful wife here once every couple of years. Just kidding haha.. I would take her every weekend ?

The food was delicious! I had an order of the Benedict. The way the tofu is breaded really gives it a fried chicken feel to it. Personally I like my asparagus to be a bit softer and I think it could do without the parsley. Just two minor critics of really an outstanding dish. I will definitely be ordering it again.

Was in the area with friends and stopped by for a drink. The wait to dine in is long but you can sit at the bar, or there are some small standing tables. This place is busy. Not sure I would dine in here during busy hours since it's pretty loud and crowded, but it was a great place to grab a drink. Loved the vibe and ambiance here. The vibe is demons + death + pink. Restroom kinda scared me but loved it lol. Drinks were really good and not too pricey. I got the Hidden Wheel. It was great and I loved the rim. Very slow service here because there was only 1 bartender and many people in line.

Even if you aren’t an elder emo or metal head, this place is the truth! The brunch cannot be skipped, under any circumstances. The potatoes with pimento cheese absolutely knocked our socks off. The butterscotch waffle was wonderful. The benny was also fantastic. Most memorable for me though was the non alcoholic charcoal pineapple drink, lord - so good! The gluten free options weren’t obvious or denoted so I needed to ask.

Brought here by my nephew. His mom & I visiting from east coast. We eat plant based. Which is extremely hard to find on the east coast! We were in heaven. Nephew recommended fabulous cocktails, all delicious. For appetizer we had herb spiced popcorn. Best popcorn we ever had! Seasoned with garlic, turmeric, dill, lemon. Very tasty, and great with the cocktails! I had vegan grilled cheese with tomato, grilled onions, kale and apple slices. Amazing! Great mixing of flavors and textures. My only complaint was the was a lot of bread. I could only eat 1/2 the sandwich d/t the amount of bread. We had a side of grilled broccolini. Seasoned with garlic and soy sauce. Very flavorful and delightful! My sister had a salad with Tempe. Flavorful salad, dressing, and Tempe. All the food her I'd vegan. So many great choices for vegan food on West coast. Give this place a try!
