$10 for a full meal‼️ If you read other reviews you'll know how this works; be ready to wait in line but it moves fairly quickly. You'll also need to get your own utensils, napkins, & drink. The food was definitely worth the over 1 hour drive we did to eat his food. It was simple, tasty, & full of life‼️ Definitely have to give this to try ‼️

I stopped at this food truck after seeing a YouTube video about how good the food is and I was not disappointed! The man running the cart obviously takes great care in creating these meals. The food was well cooked, well seasoned, and truly a delicious bite. You can tell the food is prepared with quality ingredients. It’s also a great healthy option that includes fruits and veggies in a way that is an absolute treat to eat. While all of this is obviously quite great, what has really blown me away is the portion size you receive and the value of the plate. One plate alone provided lunch for me and then dinner for both myself and my partner. None of the three meals this plate made were small either. It feels like a steal to get this much high quality food for the price. While the wait may be a bit longer than some other options in the area and the cart is cash only, the quality is far superior and well worth it. (It also isn’t /that/ much longer of a wait) If I can offer some advice to those going to this cart, bring a bag to carry the container in if you’re walking about/back to an office/to another location. The container is large and quite heavy (again! A crazy amount of food!) so bringing a bag if you’re on the go would likely be helpful. I’ll be bringing one next time! Also, be sure you have a plan for utensils and beverages as the cart doesn’t provide them. This is truly a great food cart and I can’t wait to return to see what is being served next time!

This is not only one of the best values for a meal in Philly, it’s also some of the best food in Philly. At its base is some delicious grilled chicken and falafel over rice, but what puts it over the top are the fresh veggies and fruits paired with it. Everyday is something different and it’s always good. There’s a reason you’ll see lines stretching down the block or waiting in the pouring rain. Hell I’ll walk across town just to get lunch here.

Octopus Falafel Truck is a great lunch option near Market Street. The gentleman (I have yet to learn his name) is charming and funny, and will indulge you in friendly conversation while he puts love and care into your plate. The food is excellent, providing a unique blend of sweet and savory flavors. The plate of the day usually consists of a charcoal grilled protein on a bed of rice, with a variety of vegetables and some fresh fruit to add sweetness. Lastly, you can’t forget the falafel! A must try if you live or work nearby!

No menu, no sign on the restaurant cart. Nothing indicating you are in the right place. You just have to trust the smell and the long line that has formed waiting for the deliciousness that is about to come. There is no set menu because the owner/cook changes what he cooks daily… depending on what he buys from the market for that day. On the day I went we received a container full of curry rice, big chunks of juicy, smoky chicken, long hot chili peppers, falafel and some grapes and orange pieces. The container was filled with food and all for $10! An absolute steal. The owner/cook truly has a passion for what he does, talking to you as he is creating the bounty of food for you. His enthusiasm and dedication to his craft is very self evident as he is doing his thing. What an absolute find.. one in which only locals would know about. Definitely one of those places that “when you know, you know!!”

I have a lot of compassion for rising food costs and the thinner profit margins for people in the industry. I also respect this vendor’s approach to a daily special and appreciate his vibe. All that considered, the dish had the wildest combination of flavors and textures I’ve ever been served. There was delicious chicken served with cold rice and cold egg noodles, maybe beets, and definitely blueberries and grapes with an identified sauce. I would buy it again for a smaller portion of hot rice and chicken, but the hodgepodge of a meal was absolutely inedible. My advice: eat your own risk!

One of the best, if not the best, food truck in the city!! Only one item on the menu, but every day is a different and packed full of flavor and deliciousness! And the best part? It’s only $10 and it’s definitely enough food that you’ll have a little bit of leftovers. Today was his first day back in 2022 so go see him at 20th and Ludlow for good food and good vibes!

The BEST food in Philadelphia. It is mind-blowing that the price used to be $10.00. The price recently increased to $15.00, and rightfully so. You get about $30.00 worth of incredible food, cooked for you while you wait in line, listening to jazz music. The images attached are from two of my most recent visits. Both have chicken, falafel, rice, pasta, and an assortment of peppers (including jalapeños). One of them had green beans and blueberries, while the other had grapes and red pepper. I would recommend this cart to anyone and everyone.
