Beautiful restaurant with outstanding service. Everything was fresh and tasty. The kitchen has a beautiful brick oven and the ambiance all around was awesome. It's a little pricey which would be my only knock on an otherwise outstanding experience.

The food and drinks were incredible, great flavors and unique takes on traditional dishes. The bruschetta and steak tartar were recommended to us as must-orders and they did not disappoint. The only minor disappointment was the tiny portion size of the slow roasted pig.

We celebrated our sons birthday at this fun Italian restaurant. Delicious food and great service. Delicious pizza and pasta dishes. We had a fun night with great food and drinks!

TLDR: AMAZING ambiance, fantastic food, and great service! Came here after seeing videos/pics of the wine bar they have downstairs. While we did not go to the wine bar (we will be going back for that), we did have a fantastic meal at their street-level restaurant. Ordered the oysters, ricotta bruschetta, bottle of wine, sweater weather specialty cocktail (deceivingly delicious), carbonara, lobster pasta (best dish we had), affogato, and bourbon maple dessert cocktail (second best thing). 10/10 would recommend - although it’s on the pricier side, the ambiance and food make it well worth it. One of my favorite dining experiences thus far in NYC!

I went here for Restaurant Week, not knowing anything about the restaurant and all I can say is I hope they put the Cavatelli in meat sauce (pictured here) on the permanent menu. It was probably one of the most flavorful pasta sauces I have ever had and I’m already craving it again! I ordered a cocktail, I believe called Sweater Weather, with Mezcal and fresh carrot juice which sounded intriguing although I didn’t think it was anything special, because to me the different flavor profiles described were not all easily tasted. My main dish was the Skate, which I think would’ve been a delicious dish with a different type of fish. (They have it on their regular menu as the Daily Catch). The sauce was very good and unique, but the skate itself had tons of bones, making it uncomfortable to eat, and it didn’t seem to absorb the flavor of the sauce leaving the actual skate with a blander taste. I had the tiramisu affogato for dessert. I liked it as it was, but they upsell you to try it with a shot of anise liqueur, which was just ok. It was fine mixed with the gelato but soaked into the ladyfingers tasted too much like alcohol for my liking in a dessert. Overall good place, and I really do want to go back to try more things!

Absolutely amazing! From start to finish. The interior is beautiful and feels warm/cozy. The staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The FOOD is the real ⭐️ here. I always like to test a Italian restaurant on the staples and they did not disappoint.

I'd highly recommend Peasant. The room, service and menu were great. Everything was nicely portioned and seasoned.
