Decided to try this restaurant on our last night in San Antonio. I would.gice this place a 3.75. the host at the door wasn't very welcoming. The atmosphere wasn't very inviting. With Italian food the sauce is so important. I feel like the sauce wasn't fresh or home made. The calamari was chewy and hard and flavorless. I think this place has potential but portions are small and flavor is lacking. .

The food was amazing. We loved the atmosphere. We went during lunch. It was peaceful and the hostess/waitress made sure we felt at home while taking care of our table. We will definitely add this to our list of favorites.

Old bait and switch here! Called ahead to book a reservation, but times were limited, Seemingly it must have been a good and popular place. When I arrived I opened the door gave my name and was greeted to a point to table ? "In the back is where we placed you" ? Ok..? No follow me nothing and back down into his guest list. Fumbling our way to the back accompanied with stares from the other patrons as if we didn't belong. Then surprisingly we were greeted by our server the same unfriendly hostess. He was short and quick to take our orders and was gone. Great presentation with the food but lacked taste. I just couldn't get past the sleepy and rude service. Average taste quality. Looks only to be loved by the locals in the 2 block radius. Plus the venue was damn near empty no need to close off time for reservations they need all the patrons they can get.

I usually went to the pesto on the other location and after two years living in a different state I came back to visit family for the holidays I was so sad to find out my usual location was permanently closed so we tried this location out. The food was amazing and did not disappoint. The pasta was nice and hot and melted in my mouth. Had the vanilla brandy cake for dessert.

I had high hopes for this place. For it being a little on the fancy side and have the bread come out in a fry basket and paper was a little off putting. Then I ordered my main meal. I bet no one can guess what I got from the picture. It's lasagna. Yes lasagna. It was good however it was only like 2 layers. And the portion size of a microwave stoffers one. I ate it in like 2 bites. Never have ever had a full on price meal be that small. Only gave it 2 stars because the staff was great and the food itself tasted good but not filling at all for the price and looking like trash

First timer. Found Pesto on Google and I’m glad I did. Came here for an anniversary date. Great choice! Cozy & relaxed atmosphere. I would have given five stars for dipping the bread alone! And then the food came. DELISH!! They even subbed the pasta for vegetables for me, no extra charge. Both of our meals were the perfect temperature hot! Service was quick and friendly. You gotta try this place. We will definitely be back.

It was an enjoyable evening with great food and drinks. Every dish I’ve tried has been the chef’s kiss ? Absolutely delicious ?

My experience here was absolutely lovely the ambiance was peaceful and my dish Shrimp Alejandra was spectacular! The house bread with olive oil and balsamic was delicious and our server Stone did a fabulous job of taking care of us!
