Celebrated Father’s Day with Caesar salads and the bacon (thick, tender pork belly drizzled in delicious sauce)for starters. We then shared ‘’The Associate” (wagyu meat board) and added the 16 oz ribeye as our server suggested. Each cut of meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Most definitely some of the best steak I’ve tasted and will be back for more! For sides we had the creamed spinach and ravioli. Both of which were delicious. To top off such a wonderful meal, we shared the butter cake, which was so warm, moist, and decadent!

Family style elevated steak house (you can get your own steak but the board and sharing the sides is the way i go), the ambiance is very high end yet comfortable. Staff is passionate about what they are serving and knowledgeable. Some really surprising flavors, highly recommend!

Love is a strong word — but clearly articulates how we feel about this place. Steaks (all of them) are dynamite. Don’t be a fool and order the sampler thing — order individual steak, you’ll want more. Mushrooms were the best thing I’ve ever had. Go.

9/17/22: so for steak, this is it in San Diego. Choose from sirloin's, pork chops, swordfish. There are some appetizers to choose from. Sides like mashed potato, mushroom, etc. Add one of their sauces to the protein. I had pork chops with the butter sauce and the sautéed mushroom side. The meats here are very zesty. Pretty much follow their recommendations, they have it down pat. it was the best pork chop I ever had, 10/10. Highly recommend! Note: there is a 4% living wage surcharge.

Such an amazing dinning experience! Steak tartare was delicious and The Associate was probably enough to feed three people. First glance at the menu, I thought the Rare Old Fashioned was a bit pricey, but after enjoying one, it was well worth the money.

The food was delicious and the service was awesome! I only give a 4 bc the vibe in here is weird. For an expensive steakhouse it doesn’t give a steakhouse vibe at all. Needs some updated decor, darker lighting, different music. My family and I almost left because of it but we’re so glad we stayed because it ended up being amazing!

Kevin really is an incredible server and raised the bar for what I thought excellent service is, he taught us so much about the cuts available and gave us a detailed tour of the menu. We went with the associate board and Kevin recommended us both a good pairing wine based off of our individual likes, everything tasted amazing and the steaks were cooked perfectly (medium rare and medium). This isn't an Applebee's, don't listen to the reviews talking about price. You get what you pay for and that is no exception here because Rare Society gave me and my girlfriend the best dining experience we have ever had. Will definitely be coming back to San Diego specifically for this restaurant ?

Thurs 5pm: Absolutely phenomenal service and food. We decided to go with a few of the appetizers. We got the bread, bacon and the tartar. Then we decided to go with the associate great choice as a recommendation by our server. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, the potatos, the raviolis and finally the mushrooms. The one thing that I really want to say is that our waiter was so darn attentive. He was very knowledgeable in everything that he served (passionate even), we almost ordered dessert (and now I'm kicking myself I didn't get the butter cake) because he was so fantastic. But frankly we were so stuffed we took so much food home. We way over did it. My favorite drink for the night was called "tiki" I believe. Killer flavor! I've dined at Anime, Born and Raised Cowboy Star, Stake and Stk. All of those are comparable to what we had tonight but what I really love is that they served that sampler tray, (called the associates) and that's one of my favorite things... A sample of everything. One thing was that I couldn't believe how much meat it came with (20+ oz) .....we took home so much.. The wagyu was absolutely delicious. My hubby loved the filet the most. (And me the wagu). But what I really enjoyed is that they gave you their (3) popular sauces with it. They don't play the up charge game like almost every single other place does. I'm not a huge fan of the sauces, I'm all about the salt and frankly what really surprised me is that they salted it perfectly for my taste, and I was not longing for more..
