Wow! What a find. Our friends made reservations and we were able to get a table around noon. The restaurant is located off Broadway in an area that is being remade and new construction added. The restaurant is in an old old house. Great ambience inside. Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious. Super fresh. I had the salad and it was the perfect size portion. Will had the shrimp and grits. His dish was excellent. You have to wait a bit for food, but it's all cooked from scratch. Highly recommend.

Lovely date night experience! I was a bit worried about having a date night there since there are such mixed reviews but from the host stand through getting the bill the staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating, the food was delicious and well prepared, and the atmosphere was matched perfectly from the music to the glassware they use for water. I just wish they had a bar as I would come back just for the cocktails and the trout dip! We look forward to visiting again.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Restaurant Claudine is a sensational tribute to a special woman, and the “Instagram worthy” style of the house brings modern flair to the comfort and charm of the building. Brandon was our server- he was excellent. Another server, Isaac, was also constantly walking past and checking on us. They were a great team! Our table was mised and crumbed after every meal. The details, ya’ll!!!! The managers (Robert and Brenda) were visible the entire time we were there. They were floating around to make sure everyone was greeted and doted on. It was such a welcoming experience for a first-timer. The blue crab beignets were out of this world. Stop what you’re doing and order them. Now. The gumbo was savory, and hit the spot as the weather was extra moody on the evening we dined in. We also tried the sweet tea brined pork chop, which I did not expect to be my favorite part of the night. It was smoky, juicy, and complimented by a wonderful apple au poive that transported me back to dinner at my own Grandmother’s table. Also, the fried chicken was to die for. The breading was perfectly crispy and you could tell it was made with love. It had just enough heat to compliment it but not overpower the dish. Overall 12/10 evening made perfect by the front porch rockers to watch the sunset. Claudine’s is a new staple!

Don’t listen to negative reviews. This place is a gem. 1000/10 will return again. My husband and I went for date night and food was absolutely perfect. Escargot was buttery, the corn bread was excellent, and THE BEIGNETS ARE PERFECTION. Tequila Gumption was strong and delicious. Did I mention the atmosphere? It’s stunning. The best part of my experience was the service. Every server was smiling and friendly. Upscale set my expectations with the Carpenter restaurants and Claudine’s excelled. We can’t wait to go back.

Great restaurant with great comfort food like the gumbo and fried chicken. This married duo knows how bring San Antonio great restaurants that foodies have yearned for in San Antonio. Much love!

Absolutely loved it. Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and of course the food was amazing. We had a few of their signature cocktails, Trout Dip, Fried Chicken, and Duck Confit. Highly recommend for date night or special occasion.

I was there for a birthday dinner a few night ago, the service was excellent. But, the food was not good at all. The appetizers were very underwhelming, nothing tasted fresh. Corn bread had no flavor. Entrees came out, most of us got the Fried chicken, those of us that got fried chicken were all sick the next day. The bread fell off just moving it. It wasn’t freshly fried. And to top it off it’s a drum and a chicken tender! How can you advertise fried chicken and serve a chicken tender for 19? I won’t be coming back here, if you’re looking for fried chicken head to Southerleigh. If you’re looking for a place to take instagram pictures with pretty decor and wallpaper but be served mediocre food and possible get sick, this is the place for you!

We really enjoyed the food and drinks. I only gave it 4 stars because the crabcake beignets were not as good as we had hoped, but everything else was great! I really enjoyed the cocktails. Ambience and service were perfect.
