I truly cannot express how fantastic this place is. My partner and I ordered the evenings tasting menu along with the wine paring. The favors were amazing, intricate and nothing less than incredible. Please offer our compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. The wine tasting selections were also perfectly curated and coordinated with the night's food offering. Service was outstanding and we sincerely enjoyed discussing our food and wine adventures with Gwen (I believe), who was taking care of us. We will come and visit again sooon. Thank you so much!

Stumbled upon Sepia just walking the street and decided to stop in for dinner. Little did we know that it was a Michelin Star restaurant. What we thought was going to be a light meal turned into a 4-course meal off of the tasting menu for $85 per person. We were down for the experience and for a Michelin Starred restaurant with high quality service $85 is very reasonable. We were promptly seated and asked to select our 4 courses up front. The menu had 3-5 options per course that you can choose from with a vegetarian option available at each course and for the main course there was a fish, beef, duck, and veggie option for all palettes. The portion sizes are small, it’s a tasting menu so the 4 courses in total leave you feeling satisfied — not overly full but satisfied. My courses were very neat heavy, I would’ve preferred to have at least a vegetable on my steak plate or something to balance the meal out. The dishes themselves were a little too salty for my liking as well. Overall great experience and a wonderful surprise but I have no desire to go back.

Every course was amazing! The flavors were so good and the service was wonderful. I also loved the free snapper on crispy rice and bread from the chef at the start. My only complaint is I asked for my steak medium but one one piece was medium and one was well done. I wasn’t hungry enough at that point to eat the whole thing other wise I probably would have tried to send it back. I probably should have just gotten it medium rare. Other than that it was such an amazing dinner and so many dishes surprised me such as the salad. I cannot wait to come back and see what I get next time! It’s also such a great price for a Michelin starred restaurant in Chicago.

Wow, what an amazing culinary and sensory experience. Time slowed down and floated pleasantly as we enjoyed the tasting menu at Sepia over a two hour dinner. As someone who has a few dietary restrictions, I really appreciate a tasting menu with a few different choices (Sepia has 4 for each course) so that I can choose plates without having to ask for substitutions or accommodations. Portions were perfect, tastes, textures, and presentation were right on, and the service was kind, engaging, and informative. Highly recommend for a nice meal if you are visiting Chicago. It was a highlight of our trip - and I would have paid more than the menu price for this meal after having had it. Sepia has a great thing!

Best dining experience we've ever had. The food was incredible. Every dish was carefully thought out and presented beautifully. I would eat here every day if I could afford it. The staff was all very pleasant and kind as well. The whole experience was wonderful.

Absolutely amazing! The tasting menu is incredible especially with the wine pairing. I loved hearing about why a certain wine was chosen with the course, and everything matched perfectly! I would love to go again and try other dishes as the tasting menu is reasonable priced.

So glad I chose to come to Sepia for my graduation celebration. The courses were amazingly delicate with layers of flavor that complemented each other perfectly. The desserts are also a brilliant finish to the 3 prior courses and left my party and I feeling completely satisfied with our meal. The wait staff and servers are kind and friendly and the ambiance is lively but also sophisticated. Of the other 1-2 star Michelin restaurant I’ve tried in Chicago, Sepia definitely is the best value!

My husband and I had a great time eating at Sepia. We both had the tasting menu and every course was superb. We took our 6 year old with us as we were vacationing in Chicago and she was treated well. The service was great. The only complaint I have is the person explaining the alcohol pairing kept leaving before we had time to ask any questions about the wine. This is however, a very small complaint. We'll be back.
