we had 2 delicious meals here. The decor is reminiscent of upscale Indian restaurants! ?? very different to the other Indian restaurants in NYC. They have a varied and diverse wine, cocktail and beer selection! They have a big menu! in between courses they serve little treats. my only complaint is that the food taste was catered more for locals and not authentically spiced.

The food is only okay, the chicken and lamb is too chewy and hard, almost dry out. Even the 7$chicken over rice could do better than that. Still, sauces are okay but nothing special , the service and environment is considered to be good. However, that’s the main problem, a $35 dish’s serving size and quality are not as good as some street food, what really matters? rather have mediocrity environment and services but tasty food. The deserts are also overpriced for just a little bowl of sweet rice. You spend over $110 in this meal, but not even one dish satisfies me and my Indian friend’s tongue.

Really nice spot with a great ambience - been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. The cocktails were really good and would definitely recommend any of the whiskey based ones. Also loved the service here - very friendly and amiable staff who will offer their opinions and help you decide on the right things to order. If you haven't been here, would definitely recommend you give them a try.

Second time at @tamarindtribecanyc and this time for lunch. This is a great place for work meals, especially given that there are many vegetarian options. The food is amazing as usual - definitely fancy than street Indian flavors, and service was really great!

The curries here do not warrant the prices they charge. The rice was very average and the curry was lacking something. The onion naan was delicious and perfectly cooked. The service is excellent and the owner was checking in as well. They have decent Indian inspired cocktails and a decent bar.

I wish I had seen the google reviews before coming here. Would have saved myself a trip. We booked a reservation for this restaurant well in advance and actually planned our itinerary around this since we heard good reviews about this place. There was a leaking ceiling at the entrance of the building, but I don't blame them since there's nothing they can do but get someone to fix it asap and there actually was someone fixing it. Which was good. The interior was really nice. There was a bar counter and then some common seating area and then a semi private enclosed place as well for parties I think. Really loved the bathrooms lol. We check-in and get seated at this location between several tables that were very cramped. While I understand seating walk ins in this location especially when it's a busy restaurant, I expected a better booth without even asking when booking a reservation, WELL in advance!!!! Anyway once we were seated, we were immediately waited upon. We were actually served with a free potato wedge starter! What a nice touch! Now this is where we were left with a bad taste. My husband was looking at the executive lunch menu, which is more or less an assortment of different options. He simply asked the waiter how big the portion sizes were. The waiter's response was that "you cannot share". How's that even a valid response? It's very presumptive and frankly very disrespecting. He was forced to clarify that he was asking for "portion sizes". ? We took a few minutes to decide our order and then another person took our order - not the previous waiter. This person seemed like the manager/owner. I'm not sure. We asked for some popular recommendations. He said, everything here is good. It's now just a matter of your preference. So we thought okay, the food here must be really good and ordered a few dishes. But. Underwhelming at best. That's the description I would give the food. We ordered a paneer appetizer and paneer main dish! We had our food served on our plate, which, honestly, was really nice and the paneer was really soft. BUT the flavor was just average. For a Michelin rating, I expected to be mindblown. Either by service or the food. It's supposed to be the whole experience right? I'm not even a strict reviewer, but unfortunately, I even I couldn't walk away from this restaurant feeling satisfied that I had some good food for the day, especially having ALSO walked like 15 minutes through the icy wind storm!!!

Wowowow! Id say this is Indian/American because they use a lot of ingredients that are not really part of the Indian cuisine but when it comes to spices and flavors, it’s all there. Portions are good. We had two apps, two entrees, a side of rice and naan and 2 desserts . I was stuffed . Slept 10h after this meal lol , but I’d do it again . The highlight was definitely the spicy lamb and the cocktails (OMG my mouth is watering just by remembering them) . Service was amazing and staff was very nice . My friend has some important allergies, nevertheless the server was quite knowledgeable about the dishes and was able to recommend some good options suitable for her . The place still has the white table cloth (which I’m usually not a big fan of) but doesn’t feel old fashioned at all. Id definitely go back

The food flavors don’t qualify for it to be a michelin star restaurant. The ambience is just average. The raj kachori wasn’t great and reshami kebab was chewy and not melt in mouth - plate presentation were just normal. Paneer in paneer lababdaar wasn’t fresh. Punjabi mutton was good. I liked the complimentary spicy crusted flakes with chutney. Although the chutneys i ordered from the menu weren’t as amazing as they sounded. I also noticed that servers although polite were in a rush for us to order or take the plates soon before we are done relishing the appetizers or main course. I wouldn’t recommend it as the food is overrated.
