In preparation for my short visit to Phoenix I was researching various dinner options. I came across the Breadfruit & Rum Bar and decided it was worth taking a shot. I wasn't disappointed - the food was flatout amazing and of great quality! I had the rum-glazed shrimp on roti bread along with a jamaican Jerk Chicken Salad - mouthwatering to say the least! Of course, as the name suggests they have a huge selection of Rum. If you're looking for the mainstream Bacardi & Coke this might not be the right place for you. If however you appreciate the "real" rum than this is a must-visit for you. The barkeeper is very friendly and knowledgible and will give you a full tour through the world of rum if you're interested. The mellow Reggae tunes playing from the stereo round out the Carribean feeling in desert surroundings. Two thumbs up!

This place is one of the best in Phoenix. Their food is amazing and there's options for anyone, even people who don't like seafood. Also, cocktails from the time bar are A+.

Good food and fun experience with Rum flights. small but really nice outdoor patio, on a street so quiet you can't believe you're downtown

In town on business and stopped into this place -- so glad I did!! It's charming, the music is awesome, the decor is great and the food? Incredible!!! You must visit them!! Such a little gem!

Another overrated restaurant in Phoenix. Jerk chicken is way too spicy, to the point that you can't make out the chickens flavor or texture. Best dish is the smoke ? toast appetizer. Even the rum drinks that are fully expected to be mind blowing are just ok.

This was some of the best food I've ever had. Prices were fare, service was good and informative, and I would still come back here if those things weren't true because the food and drinks were that good. I had a mojito (that was to die for) and my boyfriend had a rum old fashioned (since he usually gets a whiskey old fashion, but is considering changing his signature cocktail to this after today). To eat, we shared the prawns, an apple and coconut?? Soup of the day and also the slow braised pork dish. All were amazing and we were surprised that the soup was actually the star of them all if there even was a differentiating line of goodness between them all. We will be back!!

One of the better dining experience I've had recently. Our waiter, Isaac, was very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktail list and gave excellent pairing recommendations. Everything my girlfriend and I had was exquisite. The food is Caribbean inspired and a lot of it is locally sourced, which I appreciate. The cocktails are designed to be paired with the food, which was the cheery on top for me. The prices are reasonable and the dining room has a nice ambiance.

Best Rum drinks I've had anywhere along my travels! Creative combinations, excellent presentations and a wonderful experience for the taste buds!! ??? Staff were professional and helpful. My only two comments of improvement - the staff could be a bit friendlier - would've been nice to know about the hidden patio/smoke lounge out back before our last drink ;)
