I’ve known about The Ivy for awhile and have passed it many times but tonight I finally got to try it for dinner for my first time and it was a great experience. The design inside is like Mother’s Day Brunch with colored Christmas lights and waiters in pink shirts with ties and lots of whimsical decorations hanging on the walls. It was packed for a Saturday night dinner so this place is certainly not a secret. Our server did a great job and the iced teas are especially yummy that come complete with a stick of sugar cane to sweeten up your drink naturally. I was able to find parking on the same block, otherwise there is a pay lot close by for $15. Due to the area it is a bit overpriced, but that’s to be expected dining in this part of town. I started off with the spicy chicken gumbo and it was one of the better gumbos that I have ever had. Very rich and deep in flavor and perfectly spicy. For my entree I chose the Swordfish cooked with herbs and lime and it was done well and was delicious. For dessert we had my favorite part of the meal: a slice of red velvet cake. It was light and airy with a well balanced frosting. It was really memorable I could get just the cake for special occasions; it’s not to be missed. Overall a really nice meal, albeit slightly expensive. I would still recommend to anyone and plan to be back in the future.

Great service and wonderful ambiance. The staff are really cheerful and a pleasure to be around. They were quick and attentive and very helpful. Great place to meet with folks. We were there for brunch and we mostly went for the crab and lobster options. The food was just okay and the options are on the higher side. We were expecting a bit more from the eggs Benedict, and the lobster scramble. They are more known for other dishes and we'll try them next time around. Still worth a visit overall

Loved it here so much! We sat outside, it is so cute with fresh roses everywhere, potted plants and Christmas lights. We loved our starter - crab cakes and entrees - shrimp scampi and a burger. They surprised us with a birthday treat for my niece! Service was prompt and helpful! I'll be back!

LA institution with excellent food and chill atmosphere. Great spot for seafood and daily specials. The hot and cold seafood plates are good for 2 people. Don't skip dessert, they have sundae and banana split that are spectacular. Also homemade sorbets are very tasty. Can get busy but there are a million servers and staff who gladly help you! Not cheap. Valet available or park on street. Many people go here to find celebrities. I like the LA Gin and Tonic in the big glass!

We had such a nice lunch at The Ivy! We were able to sit outside, which was great. The service is incredible! We ordered the crab cakes to start, and they were absolutely delicious! My husband had the fish and chips, and I ordered the lobster Club which was a lunch special. Everything is great! Such a cute little place! Make reservations though.

Absolutely delightful! Food tasted wonderful, service was top notch, and the ambiance absolutely lovely. It's very hard for cute, decorative restaurants with a ton of props to feel immaculate and clean but ivy did the impossible. This place is like a house out of a fairy tale with a very very very tidy grandmother who has strong standards for hygiene practices. The lobster rose spaghetti is a must!

For the price point, I was a bit disappointed with the food. It was good, but not$50 salad good. Nothing was incredibly special. The servers were very attentive and nice. I listed that it was my mom's birthday in the reservation, and the hostess even flagged for me that they saw that on her own, which gave me expectations... But then nothing happened. No one even said happy birthday to my mom. So that was a bit if a let down after having expectations set.

Very chic and colorful restaurant. Good food, great customer service. We were there for birthday celebration - Girls Brunch. A little on the high end, in terms of cost, but it's a very nice place to enjoy. Cajun lobster and crab cakes are sooo delicious. The sangria, passion fruit mimosas and cucumber margaritas are great- make it a double for special ccasions!
