Found another great spot to have a romantic dinner. The live piano player added another level. I had a delicious crab cake. Later enjoyed some great lamb chops and sides. Pictures don't do any justice for how good they were.

We love the new look downtown. The people working here are wonderful. From the moment you walk in until you leave, they make you feel right at home. The veal parmesan was amazing and the veal chop was very tender.

Excellent food and service. We selected this restaurant as a last minute try and was pleasantly surprised to have such a wonderful high end dining experience. Our seating was literally around the piano…I mean LITERALLY,, as the table was seamed against it! This aspect alone started this night in the right direction and made conversations and laughs effortlessly. It was a lighthearted and whimsical evening and the waitress was super attentive. We requested a couple of songs to the pianist which made the night more personable and special. Every appetizer ordered was amazing, especially the crabmeat cocktail and the lobster entree was the showstopper! I was torn on finishing or saving it for later. It was cooked to perfection which made me hesitate on consuming it all away! My husband’s steak was equally as fantatuc. I’m really unsure what took us so long to try this dining staple but we will be faithful patrons going forward.

Max provided excellent service. His recommendations were spot on. The lamb chops and ribeye were beyond delicious.

Great service... the best! Food was presented well and the taste was good, but still left with better food to be desired! The onion soup is way off and overly sweet. The other dishes were high-end ingredients (I think) with an easily duplicated taste you can make at home.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palm Downtown, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience that exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked through the door, I knew that I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and elegant, with the perfect lighting and décor that set the tone for a romantic dinner. As I sat down, I was serenaded by the live piano player, which added another level of ambiance and made the evening even more special. The menu was extensive, with a variety of delectable options that catered to my taste buds. I opted for the crab cake appetizer, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had! The dish was seasoned to perfection and served with a tasty sauce that complemented the crab cake's flavors. For the main course, I chose the lamb chops, and I was blown away by the tenderness and juiciness of the meat. The sides were equally impressive, with every dish meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. The quality of the dishes was so good that I wish I could have taken some home with me! Throughout the evening, the staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The service was impeccable, and every detail was taken care of, from the presentation of the dishes to the refilling of my water glass. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the dining experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend The Palm Downtown to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The food, atmosphere, and service are unparalleled, and I can't wait to come back and enjoy another unforgettable meal. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, impress a date, or just indulge in some exceptional cuisine, The Palm Downtown is the place to go!

Everything was good except for the lobster gnocchi. When we told the waiter there was no lobster in the dish, she took it back to the kitchen. A blonde manager came out and proceeded to tell us there was lobster and turned on a flashlight and proceeded to tell us the tiny red specs was the lobster. I had to laugh, thinking she had to use a flashlight to show us the small specs of lobster. I know what Lobster tastes like, and I know what Potato gnocchi tastes like. There wasn't any lobster in the dish. I am actually surprised the chef would allow a dish to leave the kitchen as it was served to us. Very disappointed. I wasn't expecting a whole lobster tail, but if you order the lobster mac&cheese or lobster mash at Mastros, Perry's, or Pappas, you get a good amount and piece size of lobster. The Pastrami crushed Prime rib was very good.

Wonderful food and Excellent service! This is definitely a five star restaurant, but the service did not start out that way. The hostess was very pleasant and the 15-minute wait she predicted was accurate. We were seated in a booth and our server did inform us that the lunch hour was a busy one. We waited for about 10 or 15 minutes before getting some bread and another 10 or 15 minutes more before getting menus. We used this time to enjoy the decor of the restaurant. This was our first time here. During Houston restaurant weeks, we like to try out new restaurants. Finally, my wife could not stand the waiting any longer. She informed the hostess about are longer than expected weight and age she promptly came to the rescue. She took our orders, provided us with complimentary beverages, and had our appetizers on our table all in less than 5 minutes. The food tasted amazing, my steak was cooked to perfection. My wife's steak needed a bit more time and they happily accommodated by grilling it longer until it was perfect for her. The dessert was also delicious!
