We had the Baja Sopes which were recommended and wonderful. The baked oysters were very heavy on the garlic which we loved but might be a lot for some. For dinner we shared the purple potato gnocchi and strip steak. Both were very good, I personally would have liked a little more sauce on the potatoes with the steak. We got the sticky toffee pudding which again was delicious and a great blend of sweet without being too sweet.

Our first time at The Phoenix! A definite winner! Great food and drink choices and a friendly, helpful staff. Tom the co-owner and the hostess Angel are absolutely wonderful and personable. We will be back soon.

The phoenix kitchen is so warm and inviting, you feel right at home.. Between the smokey smell of the old fashioned when you walk in the door, to the scent of the wood-fire grill cooking steaks in the back, it makes you want to cozy up with a cocktail like you’re in your own home. Our favorites are easily the greenhouse flatbread, the garlic baked oysters and my husband LOVES the manicotti. There are always fun new cocktails to try. They keep things fresh and always creative. Can’t wait to go back.

What a great date night spot! Straight into artistic cocktails with my wife. The sangria was next level! The staff was absolutely spot on. We wanted for nothing. Our friends arrived, we split 1.5-2 hrs worth of food, while sampling the diversity of the menu. Phoenix offered us ALL an opportunity to try professionally made dishes, of all varieties, within the confines of the local restaurant. We tried craft cocktails, an assortment of appetizers and main dishes. We loved the freshness of the greenhouse veggies. And the bill was more than reasonable. Can’t wait to come back.

Loved the bread and pork belly appetizer. We ordered the chicken and prime rib, both were very flavorful and great fresh ingredients. We came here for our anniversary and we’re served complementary limoncello and crème brûlée. Drinks were great, staff was friendly. We will be coming back for sure.

Food was so good and very fresh. Each dish and appetizer we tried were full of favor! We were also very happy with our cocktails! Nothing like it around the south suburbs so really is a gem. Ambiance is very warm and calm and our server Kristina (spelling?) was very kind and attentive. Will absolutely be returning.

First time here and we just came for drinks! The cocktails are on special for nine dollars on Tuesdays! I got a glass of wine and it was a very nice pour size. The receptionist and server were super nice and friendly. Very nice decor inside as well. GREAT music in the bar area. Excited to come back for dinner!

Fine but could be much better. Wine was very good! Baked oysters were quite disappointing. Shriveled bites at best. French onion soup lacked in flavor. My wife enjoyed her Caesar salad with chicken. I also enjoyed my Italian beef flatbread. We had a party at his other location Public Landing which was great and from his recommendation of the Phoenix I must say I expected better. I think $170 could be better spent elsewhere.
