Wanted to check this place out for happy hour. Unfortunately the last photo we could find had old hours and an old happy hour menu. Currently, Aug 2022, the happy hour runs tell 5pm. The menu is also reduced from before. That being said we had two great cocktails and great calamari. The views were great and the restaurant food looked great. Overall a bit expensive two cocktails, calamari, tip was around $55.

We ate at Vessel four times during our weekend stay at Kona Kai Resort. Each time we visited, our servers were friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed the most mouth-watering brunch and dinner foods we have tasted in all of San Diego County. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, and overlooks a marina, and the live entertainment added very much to the experience. We highly recommend this restaurant, and will be returning soon!

Was at the resort for a few days so I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The the French toast, Vessel burger, and 1/2 chicken were decent. The sauce on the chicken was very salty (which I love) but the sides were non-existent. If there were potatoes or something could have been a great meal. The Sea Bass was excellent! It had the same sides I believe but it worked well with the light fish. Good drink options, esp. if you like your drinks on the sweeter side.

First of all, the place smelled sour, like old beer spilled on the floor. Very bad acoustics. We could hear the guy 3 tables down talking. Secondly food was horrible. Starting with the calamari fritters….. NOT fresh made, look like defrosted fish fingers and taste equally bad. Watery, soggy and freezer-burned. I ordered a sautéed sea bass. As on the picture, it’s far away from sautéed, fried maybe. It was dry and bland underneath the black cover. Service - blah at best.

Truly fab service. Nice wine list. Bartender had great suggestions, and food was even more delicious than the descriptions. I was very impressed. I definitely recommend. View is amazing too

Fast service from the bartender, nice view throughout facing the inner waters. Had a local craft called the Protector 'SD West Coast' IPA that was a great choice. Ordered fried mushrooms, calamari fritto, spicy ahi tuna tacos, and pork chop. Mushrooms had a nice chewiness to them. Calamari fritto was very good too and the fish in the tuna tacos tasted fresh though not too spicy. Pork chop was very juicy and firm and was a favorite of one of the staff. Portion was good and would order again. Also later had a Ballast Point 'Sculpin' IPA which was a recommended signature choice of San Diego and I agree, went down smooth.

The menu is limited. It definitely tastes like "hotel" food. The restaurant itself is beautiful with amazing views.

Made reservations here for a birthday dinner. Great, friendly staff, from the moment I called to make reservations to the waitress that took care of us. However, wouldn't be back a d personally wouldn't recommend. Drinks and food were mediocre. I get their price point with where they're located and that they're within a resort, but at least better quality. The $16-17 cocktails sounded great and crafty but didn't deliver in taste. Our party of 7 ordered a variety of items (2 different salads, steak, burger, braised short rib linguini) and everything was just okay. Think the best thing as the burger. Once again, amazing service as our waitress was accommodating, funny, and sweet, but food/drinks were just not up to par with what I was hoping for.
