To put it simply amazing service, great food. The menu is diverse with a wide range of choices. The staff is great and prompt. The ambience is amazing and overall a very welcoming place. One of the best itialian places I have visited in Chicago.

The best “neighborhood” restaurant! Delicious food with large portions. Wonderful service with 3-4 people attending to your table. The table is given a complimentary bread basket along with yummy roasted peppers, grated parmesan & olive oil. The meatball salad is a meal in itself. The Sunday gravy is too good for words. The eggplant stack appetizer is huge. It was a little rubbery this time but still crispy on the outside. Still tasty though. Seriously, one app and one entree is enough for two people. This place is a real gem. We’re so glad they stayed in the neighborhood when they moved to this new location East on Madison from where Ranali’s is now (the old West End). On a week night it’s perfect for an after work cocktail. The bar is beautiful. Dark wood and real style. $16 cocktails, $8 beers, $25 entrees. Highly recommend.

Nice Italian spot in the West Loop. Everything we had were good. The portions are pretty generous. Great service.

Kind of a strange experience when we dined at Viaggio in 2022. The food was certainly above average, from the complimentary bread to the sizeable portions of chicken parm and pasta. The pasta was a bit overcooked, but overall the sauce was very good and the food was well seasoned. I'd be pretty happy to have this at my local Italian spot, more of a homestyle meal than what you might expect to find across the street at Monteverde. But, the prices tell you that you are eating at Monteverde. The atmosphere, and the quality, don't. I guess I just don't know what this place wants to be. Are we fine dining, or are we a sports bar? It seems to want to be both, and it just doesn't make any sense. This wasn't table service where wine choices are suggested with your entree, this was more like a bar that happens to serve good Italian food. In fact, our waitress really didn't even seem to know anything about the offered wines. And hey, I'm all for a more casual atmosphere, but then I shouldn't expect to pay $100 for two entrees and two glasses of wine. The food? Pretty close to four stars. The ambience? A solid 2. If you're spending the money, you're better off going across the street. If you just want a nice, homestyle Italian meal, and want to get in under $60, head a little north to Tutto Fresco.

Staff was aloof. The Caprese salad was good, pasta was just OK, but the veal scallopini texture and sauce were tasteless and not good at all!! Worst part is that my credit card was charged $8 more than the total I had signed for!! Luckily, I always keep my copy and disputed the amount with my credit card company. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Dropped by Viaggio’s on a whim (no ressie) while visiting Fulton Market. They were sold out because of the hockey game, but the friendly owner quickly helped us with two seats at the bar. The entire experience was fantastic - plenty of suggestions on both food and wine from the owner and his great staff. The wine selection is perfection here. We really enjoyed the chicken marsala and the vodka rigatoni (added shrimp and asked to make it spicy). One of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Do yourself a favor and get the tiramisu (made in house). We will definitely be back. Thanks!!

Excellent experience from start to finish! Excited to go back to try more of the menu.

Had a good time with friends but... Veal parm was okay. Tortellini that came with the parm was garbage. Carbonara was garbage. It tasted like grocery store pasta with frozen peas. Waiter never came either and took 3 attempts to tell me what the rissoto of the day was even though he wrote it down. Waste of money. Have had much better Italian food in Chicago for half the price as well. Definitely not 4.7 outta 5 based on Google reviews. You can even see in the photo how bland this carbonara was for 26 bucks. Thanks Marco
