Without a doubt one of best, most exciting and creative dining experiences in Northern Michigan. Chef Adam is very talented and knows how to bring bold and unique flavors to the table. Local ingredients paired w many different ethnic spices and styles. Highly recommend. Still drooling over this whole meal... The squash ???.

On a recent trip to the Leelanau Peninsula, my husband and I dined at Wren for the first time and were very impressed. This small, cozy restaurant has so much charm, from the historic building to the warm and friendly staff, we were made to feel right at home. Everything on the menu appealed to us, which made it very difficult to decide what to order. When we return, we will definitely try the tasting menu. We were very pleased with each course, but felt dessert came up a bit short. Our favorites included the octopus, beets and whitefish. Service at Wren was top-notch. Our server was helpful, prompt and friendly. Overall, we were so pleased to find a special restaurant to fill the hole that formed when Alliance closed several years ago. If you are in the Traverse City vicinity, the short drive up to Sutton's Bay will take you to one of the best dining experiences in the area!

We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful experience at the Wren last weekend. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. His recommendations were spot on. The cocktails were delicious and a wonderful precursor to our dinner. Two of us had the excellent walleye and the third had the pork loin. We started with several appetizers and all agreed the Brussels sprouts were a standout. Yes, we had desserts and they were excellent. Great atmosphere. We will definitely come again.

Out dinner was outstanding, with patio seating and a perfect and summer evening. The town slows down around 7, so we got a quiet evening outside. Our servers (at least 3) were generous and kind, we got complimentary champagne for our anniversary, and even dessert on the house. Chef Alex really outdid himself tonight, the steak was perfectly cooked, plus a couple of surprises to accompany. My wife ordered the scallops and those were outstanding as well. Really, it is worth our 3 hour drive to dine at this gem of a restaurant. Absolutely recommended!!

Amazing dining experience! The food is artfully prepared and delicious. The wine list has something for everyone and the craft cocktails are unique and tasty. The dining room is cozy, with lighting that creates an intimate space. And the service is an homage to days gone by.. The servers are well aware you serve from one side and remove plates from the other side. They are attentive but not intrusive. If you haven't been to Wren yet...Go Now! I am sure that it will be more than difficult to get a table in the summer tourist season.

My husband and I stopped into Wren while on a mini honeymoon trip to Sutton’s Bay. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life, and the staff and atmosphere just took it to the next level. Hannah and Joey were so friendly, welcoming, and truly made us feel celebrated. On a cold winter night, the dim but warmly lit dining room was very inviting. It’s a casual and cozy atmosphere, but the food is anything but. It’s an experience and a language of love of the chef. You can tell how much he truly cares about his craft. The food was just perfect, beautifully plated and wonderful marriages of flavors and textures. I’ll rave about this meal forever! We were so happy to find the little gem that is Wren, and hope to return soon!
