We had an amazing time with our group of ladies tonight. Service was good. Some of the appetizers weren’t super great, but the entrees were on point. We totally loved the location and outside decor. The weather was lovely, the outdoor seating area was perfect for after dinner chats. The ambience is good here.

We were a large group but ended up ordering for the table bread and butter, beet hummus, chargrilled wings, ahi tuna augachile, and blue crab corn fritters. The bread and butter was my favorite appetizer. The salt on the fresh bread went perfectly with the seasonings in the butter. Second favorite was the blue crab fritters. Everybody enjoyed all the other dishes as well. I got to enjoy the sunset in the park drink which was good. I ordered the fagilatelle al ragu and mostly everybody else at the table ordered the salmon filet as an entrée. The ragu tasted very good to be and the beef short rib was tender. Mostly everybody enjoyed the salmon and said it was the best they've had. The others said it was in their top salmon. The salmon was a pretty decent size too. I was surprised. The only dish people weren't a fan of was the grits, they said it was very bland. The atmosphere was pretty cool but the place is pretty pricy.

The ambience great, lighting great. Food is ok, I was expecting something more captivating and I think the Southern Fried Quail was a bit too salty for my taste. The cookie butter gelato is tasty but nothing too great.

My company reserved the top floor for a dinner and cocktail hour and it was amazing. Great vegetarian options and wonderful staff.

Food and service was great. Only issue is that it’s incredibly overpriced. $8 to add 1/2 an avocado to a salad. Also, they charge for substitutions, even if they are they same price. $2 substitution fee for green beans instead of asparagus. $2 fee for regular mashed potatoes instead of fried potato salad. This is on top of the $46 price for a filet. If you want to feel extremely nickel and dimed, this is the place to go.

Great atmosphere and view of the park in downtown Houston. The wings were excellent! A nice citrus spicy infusion. Definitely coming back here again ?

The Grove is a fabulous place to reconnect with a friend. It has nice views and the food/drinks are delicious! The blue crab balls are the best! Just don't sit outside unless you have bee repellent...lol
