Service was great. The food is good but you may find better. The brisket and turkey were a little bit dry. Ribs and chicken were good. We had the 5 meat plate for 2 and it was plenty of food. My son got a brisket sandwich and was huge.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve had a lot of disappointment recently with various barbecue restaurants between San Antonio Fort Worth. Today was not one of those occasions. I came for BBQ and got what expected. The prices were reasonable and the taste was in point. The meat actually tasted and looked like it had been smoked. Everything was delicious. I had the three meat platter with Ribs, which there is a up charge for, brisket and chicken 1/4. I chose macaroni and cheese and potato salad for my sides. My only complaint, and I’m not calling this a complaint, was that the potato salad was a tad bit on the salty side. That’s just me, I have a really low sodium tolerance so like I said, not really a complaint. The staff was friendly. You deserve your five stars based on taste, quality and price. Thank k you for being in a very touristy are and not killing folk with exorbitantly high prices. Jay

The food and service was absolutely amazing. You could taste the freshness in everything especially the homemade potato salad. We got the five meat platter for two, and it was plenty of enough food it came with five of their meats and two sides. And for an appetizer I would highly recommend the pepper jack cheese.

It was okay, but I would try somewhere else if I could go back. I got the 2 meat combo with brisket and sausage, sides of Cole slaw and French fries. It also came with free bread. The fries were heat lamp hot but it wasn't that bad. The sausage had a nice smoke flavor but the sausage was non-eventful. Kinda bland actually, bout as good as grocery store stuff. The brisket was dry. Like dry-dry. If the plate didn't come with sauce I wouldn't have eaten it. The "Cole slaw"... I don't know if these folks have eaten Cole slaw cause that wasn't it. It was just big chunks of cabbage in mayo. You gotta let Cole slaw sit over night and this was like it had been made about 6 mins prior. Just chunky and crunchy. Also, no draft beer- only bottled. For $30.00 for just me, not happy I paid for this. But it was okay.

Friendly staff and good food. Reasonable pricing with a variety of BBQ items. The Platter for Two gives a great introduction to the meats. Probably wouldn't order the ribs or baked beans again and a greater variety of sauces would be nice but the brisket and (surprisingly) the turkey were very good.

We tried the shared plate so we could try all of the different meats. Ribs were great, the brisket was good, but to my surprise the turkey was amazing. I would not normally order turkey at a BBQ joint. But wow, moist tender and very flavorful, with a beautiful smoke flavor.

This place is just off the river walk. They offer indoor or outdoor seating. We just happened to be there after a brief rainstorm and ended up eating inside. I loved the old western decor. Johnny Joe was our server and he was great. Very attentive, very helpful and had a great attitude. The food was delicious. The brisket was just as I like it, bbq sauce was on point. The beans were freakin amazing as was the homemade bread fresh out of the oven! Seriously, try this place.

My wife and I came into here from Houston to walk around Riverwalk. We tried to give this place and id say it's not bad nor good just okay. We got 3 meat platter. Sausage, Chicken, 2nd Cut Brisket, with Mac n Cheese and fries. Chicken taste better than the brisket. Lots of flavor ? Brisket was pretty dry. Mac n Cheese was watery so if that's your thing I guess you'll like it. I also tried lean part and that profile carried a bit more bark! Parties of 6+ 18% gratuity automatically added. Bread wasn't Road house but still hot and pretty good. Careful if you decide to ask for extra bread its an upcharge so make sure you still get your bread that it normally comes with. ?
